Nowadays everyone’s looking to save a buck. With do-it-yourself (DIY) household items, you’re sure to save money for the same products you’d pick up at your local supply store. There are many different “recipes” for cleaners and stain removers that you can just whip up in your own kitchen.
A popular fabric refresher that is a definite must for anyone who has pets, or just appreciates a clean house is Febreze. The household item costs around $5-6 and with this easy concoction, you can make it for around $0.15. Now isn’t that a bargain?

To create this fake Febreze:

-2 Tablespoons Baking Soda
-Hot Tap Water – To Fill the Bottle to the Top
Shake well and fight those pesky pet odors and stale air.
Another must have around the house is Windex for all those hand prints, greasy noses, and dogs who love to stick their faces on your clean windows. Looking at about $3-4 for a bottle of Windex, this imitation cost is around $0.27.

Here’s what you need:
1 Empty Windex Spray Bottle
1/8 Cup (1oz) White Ammonia
1/4 Cup (4oz) Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol
1 Drop Laundry Detergent
Water – To Fill The Bottle
These are just to name a few DIY products you can use around your home while saving your hard earned money.
