History

Social Media Mom began in 2007 and was founded by Kristen Munson, president of Kmunse Marketing and mother of four. In 2009 the company NowSourcing, Inc. took over the popular site. President, Brian Wallace was pleased to be a part of the mothers of social media movement – keeping women in the loop when it comes to social networking, online safety, parenting in the digital age, and bringing you the latest applications for you and your child. We love to hear from our readers, and we are very interested in reviewing products we believe are helpful for readers.

Kristina Carpenter has been a social media strategist for NowSourcing, Inc. and writer for Social Media Mom since January 2011. She graduated from Indiana University in May 2011 with a degree in Advertising and is planning to attend graduate school to eventually obtain her PhD in Cultural Anthropology. She believes that social media is a great tool and should be learned and used properly. She has experience in blogging for multiple sites, SEO, and website design/maintenance.

Judy Wallace

Judy Wallace has been with Nowsourcing, Inc. since November 2005 and has been writing for Social Media Mom since 2009. Judy has 10+ years of experience in the field of Social and Community Service Management. Her technical and functional knowledge includes strategic planning, finance and funding allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. In May 2000, she graduated from Binghamton University (SUNY) with a major in Human Development. In June 2002, Judy earned an MBA from Pace University, Lubin School of Business.
